Sabino Canyon's Seven Falls Trail

After an uneventful Southwest Air flight through Denver to Phoenix yesterday, we quickly loaded our rental van so we could get a few miles hiking at Picacho Peak before dark.

This morning we hustled to Sabino Canyon to hike this popular trail. The park was busy since entrance was free today and on MLK Day. We logged 12.5 miles and all without injury or complaint! One of the group spotted this forlorn looking "scarecrow" along the trail. It was the subject in more than one picture.

Then, after a Trader Joes' "run," we had a delightful dinner of chicken enchiladas and salad fixed by Paige and Lindsay. They were quite pleased with themselves, and should have been! For two people who confess to not cooking, they were really a "hit" with their meal.

Rain is predicted for tomorrow morning so we will likely head to the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum before hitting the trail!
